During the awards luncheon on November 3, we will recognize the winners of the Beacon Awards for Excellence in Student Achievement and Success and our long-term volunteer evaluators.

Creating Capacity for Digital Learning – FREE Professional Development Opportunity

In partnership with the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) and Every Learner Everywhere (ELE) and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, NWCCU is pleased to offer a free, self-paced professional development workshop series on developing quality digital learning.

This series of customized trainings will be specifically tailored to three key populations:

  1. Educators who might serve as mentors to faculty responsible for the design and facilitation of online courses (Creating Capacity for Quality Digital Learning: Train the Trainer)
  2. The faculty themselves seeking resources and support for designing, facilitating, and assessing quality online instruction within inclusive digital learning environments (Creating Capacity for Quality Digital Learning: Faculty Focus)
  3. Institutional leaders and administrators responsible for leading and scaling quality digital learning that equitably supports educational success (Creating Capacity for Quality Digital Learning: Leadership Focus)

Individuals are encouraged to register for those courses they may find beneficial. For instance, a faculty member may choose to complete the “Faculty Focus” offering first and decide later on to complete “Train the Trainer.”

Due to the self-paced nature of the course, participants may find it beneficial to complete this work in institutional cohorts, alongside colleagues.

All three workshops will open on August 1, 2022. Registration information and details are provided on NWCCU’s website. Registration will remain open through mid-October, and courses will close November 30.
