Dr. Ned Hillyard is a healthcare executive with extensive experience in institutional leadership, accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and organizational governance. Throughout his career, he has served in executive leadership roles overseeing clinical operations, compliance, risk management, patient safety, medical staff services, and strategic planning for hospitals and healthcare organizations.

Dr. Hillyard has led numerous accreditation and regulatory initiatives involving The Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and state regulatory agencies. His work has focused on developing sustainable systems that promote organizational effectiveness, continuous quality improvement, accountability, and a culture of safety. He has successfully guided new healthcare organizations through initial accreditation, developed enterprise compliance and risk management programs, and supported institutional growth through strategic planning, governance, and operational leadership.

In addition to his executive leadership experience, Dr. Hillyard has served as a healthcare consultant, Joint Commission PREP surveyor, and policy analyst for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. He has worked with healthcare organizations across the United States to strengthen governance structures, improve regulatory compliance, enhance quality outcomes, and prepare institutions for accreditation and regulatory review.

Dr. Hillyard holds a Ph.D. in Health Sciences with an emphasis in Healthcare Leadership and maintains professional certifications in healthcare compliance, privacy, quality, ethics, and risk management. His professional interests include accreditation, institutional effectiveness, organizational leadership, quality improvement, and fostering cultures of continuous learning and excellence.
